The Kemper Foundation awards $10,000 grant for shelter improvements!

We would like to express our deep appreciation for the grant we received from the Kemper Foundation. 
Funds will be used towards construction of an addition at our shelter to be able to provide accessible accommodations for  survivors with disabilities, injuries and/or chronic illness.

OUR MISSION is to provide education and empowerment-based services to the public and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, to break the cycle of abuse to encourage positive change in families and communities.

Organized in 1981, Family Crisis Services, Inc. has been providing free and confidential services to survivors in southwest Kansas for 30 years.  We provide services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

Services we provide include a 24-hour crisis hotline and crisis intervention, advocacy (personal, medical, legal, court and law enforcement), supportive counseling and support group, emergency accommodations and shelter, parent and child advocacy services, community awareness and education.
